Problem
Design a 4.25x5.5 inch card for the Masters in Human-Computer Interaction program at Georgia Tech.
Scope
The Masters in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) program at Georgia Tech is one of the top programs, in it's domain, in the country. These cards are meant to be the first effort to publicise the program and encourage potential applicants to learn more about the program. The cards are intended to be distributed in conferences that Georgia Tech students participate in. Grace Hopper Conference 2016 was the first conference where these cards were distributed.

Design Constraints
The degree director of the MS-HCI program at Georgia Tech, Dr. Richard Henneman, shared the following design constraints:
- Size: 4.25” x 5.5” cardstock
- Must-have information:
- Application Deadline (Feb 1)
- Website URL
- MS-HCI Logo
- 4 semesters, 1 internship
- Other potential information to include:
- Four tracks, 1 degree
- Research project
- Where do our graduates go to work
- Considered one of the top 2 or 3 HCI programs in the world
- Equal split between enrolled men and women
- Strong industry focus
- Fortune magazine identified the MS-HCI degree in top 5 earning potential of all Master’s degrees
- Over 20 years old, one of the oldest MS-HCI Programs
Design Proposal
Since there were several students who voluntarily participated to design the promotion card, proposals were submitted by each of them. For my proposal, rather than going wild with ideas, I considered the design constraints defined by Georgia Tech. This allowed me to ensure that the designs are consistent with Georgia Tech’s brand identity and at the same time fulfilling the design requirements. Details about constraints- http://www.comm.gatech.edu/resources/visual. Following is my proposal:

The proposal by other students is as shared below:
Final Design
Dr. Henneman liked design elements from multiple proposals and thought the best solution is hybrid. I, along with other two students were selected to work on the final design of the promotion card. The final design was clear, consistent and included all the required information.
